In the Tao Te Ching, there is a saying: “Disaster is the avenue of fortune and fortune is the concealment for disaster”. This classical saying is the experience that our ancestors have summed up through countless practical activities for thousands of years. Unfortunately, up to now, most of us still do not understand the true meaning of this sentence, let alone how much it plays a role in our lives.
In real life, we can easily see that many people want to learn and do well, and want to realize their dreams through their own efforts. But in the big world, there are only a few people who could succeed, and only a handful of people who could make great achievements. Why is that? The reason is that unsuccessful people do not have the quality of success, which is derived from cultural upbringing.
An illiterate person can formulate his or her own life goals or know what he or she wants, but most of them “take the wrong path” in the process of achieving their goals。 I was going to Beijing, but instead I caught the train to Shanghai。 So the goal is misplaced in dreams, and the result is frustration and distress。

I was going to Beijing, but instead I caught the train to Shanghai. So the goal is misplaced in dreams, and the result is frustration and distress.
Therefore, people who are on the road to success, and those who want to make great achievements, must clearly realize that every good thing is accompanied by bad things, and that every bad thing also indicates the road to success, though always in various unexpected or unacceptable ways to test our disposition, perseverance, courage and tolerance.
Successful people succeed only because they go forward bravely in the face of any difficulties and setbacks; unsuccessful people go the other way and choose to retreat and give up in the face of difficulties and setbacks。 Success is the result of hardships which steel our willpower while failures can not stand the test, so just as the old saying goes, “A gentlemen often thinks that he is wrong while a base person always thinks that he is right”, which also explains the reasons for success and failure!
